Universal Digital Textbooks
Developed by MBS and leading academic publishers, the Universal Digital Textbooks
program adds downloadable eBooks to the traditional new and used print mix carried
by our Bookstore. This new product brings students a digital alternative that
was previously only available to them online and outside of the Bookstore. Now, with
this groundbreaking program, students are offered a cost-saving alternative — on the
bookshelves alongside the new and used print versions — that delivers many interactive
benefits.
How Do Digital Textbooks Work?
-
Pick up a Digital Textbooks Card for the title you need (Not all textbooks
are available in electronic format at this time, the title base is constantly growing.)
Make sure that your computer has Adobe® Reader® 6.0 or above, meets the system
requirements listed on the back of the card, and that the Digital Textbook format is
a good match for your study habits.
-
When you’re ready to use your Digital Textbook, go to the computer where you
intend to use it (Remember that a Digital Textbook can only be downloaded once
to a single computer), go online to
http://direct.mbsbooks.com/udtuc.htm,
to register. Once you purchase the digital textbook online, it cannot be returned.
You have a minimum of 12 months from activation (expiration rules
may vary by publisher) to use your Digital Textbook before it expires.
-
Follow the easy on-screen prompts to download your Digital Textbook. Don’t forget
that you’ll need the latest version of the free Adobe Reader software in order to
read your Digital Textbook. If you need Adobe Reader, you may download it from
www.Adobe.com/Reader.
