Return Policies

ALL RETURNS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ORIGINAL RECEIPT OR PACKING SLIP.

All merchandise ordered online must be returned within 14 days of the ship date printed on the packing slip. Unless stated otherwise (i.e. items listed as non-returnable), the following return policies apply to all items ordered online.

The UC Davis Bookstore is commited to excellent customer service. If for some reason you need to return or exchange your merchandise please follow the guidelines below. All merchandise must be received in new, salable condition (tags should still be attached) for a replacement or credit to be issued. In the case of a refund, credit will only be issued to the account that was used to place the order. Software and other shrinkwrapped items are non-returnable if opened, however defective merchandise may be replaced (see below).

All returns will require prior authorization. To initiate a return please contact us or stop by the UC Davis Bookstore.

Wrong item, size, or color

We will promptly replace or, at our discretion, refund any merchandise that is the incorrect item, size, or color. Shipping is refundable only if the wrong merchandise resulted from an error by the UC Davis Bookstore. If you made a mistake or have changed your mind, you will have to pay for all shipping charges when returning or exchange an item.

Defective Merchandise

We will propmtly replace or, at our discretion, refund any merchandise that you receive that is damaged or defective. We will credit the account used to place the order for the cost of return shipping upon receipt of the damaged or defective merchandise at our warehouse.

UC Davis Extension Textbooks

UCD Extension textbooks must be returned within 14 days of the purchase date and no later than 7 days after the UCD Extension class begins.

An original receipt or packing slip is required with all returns. Be sure to include the reason for the return or exchange. Please use FedEx, UPS and/or purchase insurance when returning items, for your own protection.

The UC Davis Bookstore reserves the right to refuse any refund or return.
