  1. Does the UC Davis Bookstore charge sales tax?

Sales tax is charged on all orders shipped to addresses in California. During the checkout process you will be able to see the amount of sales tax charged.

  2. What forms of payment does the UC Davis Bookstore accept?

The UC Davis Bookstore accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit card payments online. In the future our website will also be able to accept payments by student accounts, campus department accounts and Bookstore gift cards.

  3. When are confirmations sent out?

Order confirmations are sent to you automatically via e-mail when your order is placed. You will receive an additional email confirmation when your order has been shipped.

  4. How are orders shipped?

The UC Davis Bookstore ships most orders via FedEx®. If shipment via FedEx® is not available (i.e. P.O. Boxes) then the US Postal Service® will be used.

  5. When can I expect my order?

This depends on several factors including whether or not the item is at our store or our warehouse and the shipping method you select. The UC Davis Bookstore fills and ships orders Monday through Friday. In general you should expect that your order will be filled and shipped in 3-5 business days and then add the number of days it takes for your order to reach you. For example, and order placed on Monday with "Overnight" shipping will usually be shipped on Tuesday or Wednesday and then you would receive the day after it shipped. NOTE : "Overnight" shipping does not guarantee that an order placed on Monday will be received on Tuesday. Instead, it guarantees that the order will be received the day after it is shipped.

You can use the FedEx® website to estimate the delivery time for your order and to compare the various shipping options available to you: FedEx Rates and Transit Times® website. Simply enter "95618" as the "Ship From" zip and your zipcode as the "Ship To" zip. For the weight just estimate 5 lbs. Finally change the "Ship Date" to three days into the future. FedEx® should be able to give you various delivery estimates depending on the shipment method selected.

Please note that the FedEx Rates and Transit Times® website link is a tool provided by Fedex® and is not maintained by the UC Davis Bookstore. We do not guarantee any rate or transit time estimates made by FedEx®.

  6. How do I track my order(s)?

You can view the status of your order at any time by visiting the My Account section of our website. Once you log in you will be able to access your complete order history. All orders shipped via UPS will have a tracking number assigned. You can click on the tracking number to find estimated delivery information. At this time tracking numbers are not available for orders shipped via the US Postal Service®.
